Walk-in Showers
If you’re considering replacing your regular shower or bathtub, you might have some questions about the size and measurements of walk-in showers. At Premier Care in Bathing, we know that bathrooms come in all shapes and dimensions which is why we offer a range of walk-in showers to suit both your space and your needs.
Our design process is fully customisable to your needs and requirements, so you are able to have any shower style you wish. With accessibility in mind, we design walk-in showers with half height doors which are ideal to provide safety and convenience to those with carers.
The smallest shower trays we offer have dimensions of 800mm x 800mm (Enrapture) or 990mm 990mm x 760mm (Cove).
In some cases, we can trim these models down to enable them to fit into smaller bathrooms. If you’re worried about space, why not book a free, no-obligation survey to discuss your installation options.
Our ultra-low shower trays start at 40mm in height. In some circumstances, these can be sunk into the floor to offer a lower or level access threshold.
For a safe and easy spot to sit whilst you bathe, shower chairs are the ideal option. Cleverly designed to be lightweight and durable, our foldable seats can be easily moved away if it’s not needed and will stay in their high-quality condition for a long time.
The issue many people face with standard showers is the tricky step to get in can be a safety hazard. Our walk-in showers feature low-level shower trays to minimise any falls and maximise your safety. It’s a hassle-free way to get in and out of your shower that the whole family can enjoy.
Walk-in showers are designed to maximise your safety. Normal showers can sometimes cause falls and slips due to their tricky access. Our products include a low-level shower tray that has a clever slip-resistant design, from just 40mm in height, to ensure the smallest and easiest step into the shower.
Walk-in Baths
Baths come in all shapes and sizes, so water usage is an important concern when choosing your tub. Despite their greater depth, upright walk-in baths do not all use more water than a standard bath. A walk-in bath uses between 150 and 240 litres of water, whereas a standard bath requires around 170 litres of […]
At Premier Care, your comfort and needs are our priority. All of our specially designed walk-in baths are made to ensure an easy bathing experience. Now you can enjoy all the pleasures of a standard bath, but with added safety and luxury, from low-level entry, grab rails and slip-resistant flooring.
All of our walk-in baths are guaranteed safety-proof. From low-level access, slip-resistant surfaces, grab rails and to thermostatic fillers, using a Premier Care walk-in bath is easy, safe and secure.
Few parts of our routine are as relaxing as bath time. The stresses and strains of everyday life seep away as we soak in soapy, luxuriant water – but what happens when getting in and out of the bath starts to cause its own headaches? Back in the days, the only solution was to give […]
Did you know that baths come in all shapes and sizes? While there’s certainly a standard bath size here in the UK, you’re not limited if you’d prefer a unit that’s smaller or larger. In fact, choosing the right bath size is an important consideration in designing your bathroom. It’s something that will add to […]
Wet Room
Designed for easy accessibility, wet rooms are open showers or a shower which sits behind a single wall or screen. As the shower is the same level as the floor, it eliminates the need to step over anything, making it perfectly practical, especially for those with mobility issues.
At Premier Care, all our wet rooms are equipped with slip-resistant tiling for added safety. You can even find durable features, like a folding seat, to maximise your comfort.
Wet rooms are not only a great investment now, but they can benefit you in the future too. Here are just some of the benefits of a wet room.
A wet room is a fully waterproof, open plan bathroom – built to make bathing as easy as possible. Wet rooms do away with the usual bathroom obstacles, like shower trays and doors – so you can simply walk into your wet room, turn on the shower and start washing.
Absolutely. If your accessibility needs are a priority, then a wet room or a walk-in shower provide the perfect alternative to your existing bath. However, you might have questions about how to convert a tub to a walk-in shower. So here we’re going to answer any queries you may have so you can make a […]
Accessibility
For wheelchair users, our wet room designs are the ultimate in hassle-free bathing. With no need to get in or out of the shower or bath, simply manoeuvre the chair to the desired position and wash. Seats and grab rails can be placed under the shower, too, and the extra space makes it easier for carers to lend a hand.
Our bathrooms are designed to put ease of access first, for both you and if you need space for a carer. Our magnetic folding doors, in either tempered safety glass or polycarbonate safety glazing, are half-height to help with assisted bathing.
For your safety and comfort, all our showers are fitted with low-access, slip-resistant trays; high-quality, tempered safety glass; and attractive, comfortable seats.
To ensure the ultimate stress-free and relaxing showering experience, our bathrooms can be fitted with a number of different safety features. To make your bathing safer, we fit our showers and wet rooms with slip-resistant surfacing to avoid any accidental slips or falls. Low-level access showers are also available.
We exist to make your bathing experience easier and more relaxing, so accessibility is always at the forefront of our minds when we are designing any new bathroom. With Premier Care in Bathing, you are able to work with us to create a bathroom which suits your every need.
Accessories
StayWarm is an additional comfort feature available with a number of our walk-in baths. The feature heats the underside and back of your bath seat.
Chromotherapy is an ancient natural light treatment that helps promote emotional well-being through light waves of a variety colour.
A thermostatic tap is an essential part of safe bathing. It blends both hot and cold water to maintain your ideal temperature, while also regulating the flow.
With safety in mind, a thermostatic shower allows complete control of the temperature of the water. All our showers are built with this feature to ensure there is never any risk of scalding from boiling hot water. The control also ensures you won’t be surprised by a freezing cold jet of water.
Resonance therapy uses sound and music to create a relaxing environment to bathe in. Sounds can help to relax muscles and mind, inducing mental and physical well-being in individuals.
A hydrovescent spa massage is formed of champagne-like streams, created by air jets around the sides and bottom of the bath. These thin and gentle jets are much softer than conventional jets and can help to improve circulation as well as relax muscles and relieve inflammation.

It’s rare at Premier Care we can fit a walk-in shower in one day – this will usually only be possible if we’re simply replacing your existing shower, with all the plumbing and electrics already in place. To replace shower trays, enclosures and make good your bathroom, it does take longer. On average, our expert installation team takes 3-4 days to fit a walk-in shower.
Premier Care in Bathing offer a fully inclusive service. This means we look after everything from the design, supply and installation of your bath or shower room. We do not offer a supply-only service for your own plumbers.
